The earthquake occurred at 1.04 am about seven km. out to sea. It lasted about nine seconds and its effects have been noticed in Dénia, Javea, Calpe, Teulada-Moraira and some inland towns, such as Orba, with a slight trembling of the furniture and even some cracking.
