The Blessing of Pets – a fiesta in honour of Sant Antoni organised by Tiraset will take place from January 13th.
Programme:-
Saturday January 13, 2024
12.00: Transfer of the pine tree from the Plaza de la Constitución to Calle San Antonio passing through carrer Oms, Placeta del Convent, Ronda Colón, Virgen de la Merced, calle La Fuente and carrer Sant Antoni.
12:00 Parade of the Festival Committee of Sant Antoni Abad ‘Penya La Burrera’ through the historic centre and Duanes de la Mar with dolçaina and tabalet.
20:00 hours: Cremà del Pi on the plot of C/San Antonio. Act organised by the Tiraset. There will be nuts and mistela for all attendees
Sunday 14th January 2024
10:00: Gathering of all the participants in the parade in San Antonio Street and adjacent streets to collect the Saint from his niche.
11:00: Parade of carts, mounts and carriages. The route starts in Calle San Antonio in the direction of Duanes de la Mar along Calle San Joaquín, then along the main streets of the seaside neighbourhood and back to the Plaza de la Constitución. Organised by Tiraset.
13:00: Blessing of animals and horses in the Plaza de la Constitución. Followed by the handing out of a bun and a stamp of the Patron Saint to all those who take part in the blessing by bringing their pet to the blessing.
14:00: Departure of the participants in caravan from Constitution Square to C/San Antonio to settle the Saint in his niche.
Wednesday, January 17, 2024: Sant Antoni’s Day
9:00: Parade of the Sant Antoni Festivities Commission through Duanes de la Mar with dolçaina i tabalet.
12:00 noon: Solemn Mass in the Parish of Our Lady of Loreto and raffle of an image of St. Anthony.
13:00: After Mass, the blessing of animals in the Plaza del President Adolfo Suarez. Then a wine of honor will be offered to attendees in collaboration with Javes City Council.

These festivities also include the opening of the amusement fair located on Palmela Avenue, which will open on January 12th and will remain open until February 4th from 17:00 p.m., with Friday, January 26th being Children’s Day with popular prices at attractions and hot chocolate day on Friday, January 19

18:00: Chocolate for children who come to the fairgrounds on Avda Palmela.
Friday 26 January 2024: ‘Día del Nño’ (Children’s Day).
17:00: Special ‘Porrat i Fira de Sant Antoni’ (reduced prices in the attractions).
