Hollywood actor, Matt Damon has family ties here and has been spotted this week just “hanging out” with the locals.
His brother-in-law, Xuan Bozán lives here and Matt has been seen having a good time in a bar in Cala de la Barraca and sailing about the coastline also. Last Saturday, according to surprised witnesses, the pretty famous actor was spotted on board a yacht that was anchored at the El Portet beach .
Photographs were released by the Cala Clemence bar, which is located in the Portitxol cove, where the terrace overlooks the incredible bay of Portitxol and the beach of picturesque fishermen’s houses. Damon had no problem being photographed with all the workers at this trendy bar.
The Damons (Matt, his wife, and their three daughters) fell in love with the Marina Alta whilst visiting in May 2016, when they went to La Siesta and Achill, on the Arenal beach.
We at JC remember him from 2016, when we nabbed a few photos of him on the Arenal. A film crew that we spoke to told us that he was one of the most “down to earth” actors they had ever worked with. A truly nice guy!
