A British fugitive has been arrested in Jávea for drug trafficking and other crimes.

A British man has been apprehended in Javea and arrested for the introduction of large quantities of cocaine, heroin and MDMA into the UK, as well as laundering the profits obtained from the sale of the drugs.

He had been wanted by British authorities since 2020 for drug trafficking, money laundering and membership of criminal organisation.

The property where he was hiding was searched, involving investigators from the NCA and the London Metropolitan Police , along with agents from the Central Operational Unit.

The operation was carried out by the Justice Escape Team of the Central Operational Unit, with the support of different Units of the Alicante Guardia Civil

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction number 5 of the National Court, where a prison sentence was given.
