Padel courts making way for municipal pools.

Javea Council will be removing the paddle tennis courts and preparing the plot where the municipal swimming pool will be built.
The Sports Department has been coordinating the work to move the two paddle tennis courts located next to the Municipal Sports Centre, Palau d’Esports Municipal.

The courts will be dismantled to free up this plot of land, but they will be reinstalled in the Les Mesquides sports area.
The work has begun with the preparation of the new site, including the installation of new lighting. The courts and their glass enclosures will then be moved.

As explained by the sports councillor, Alberto Tur, the work has been planned in such a way that the courts will be able to continue to operate.
until the last moment.
The project, with a cost of 38,700 euros, is one of the preparatory steps for the construction of the municipal indoor swimming pool,

The pool has an initial budget of 5 million euros, of which 3 million will be financed by the Generalitat de Catalunya. and 3 million will be financed by the Generalitat. The infrastructure will have two swimming pools and a
activity room for gymnastics and physical exercise.

The main pool (25 metres long by 12.50 metres wide) will be multi-purpose in nature and the secondary pool (12.50 by 10 metres) will be dedicated to gymnastics and fitness.

The facilities will be both for children and adults, and above all to promote rehabilitative swimming.

It will be approved to host provincial competitions, with a three-row grandstand, changing rooms suitable for teams, plus there will be a small cafeteria on site.
