by Karlee McGregor

The 30th Javea International Festival will be held from the 3rd to 5th July 2025, in the Avenida Augusta (section next to IES La Mar) opening at 18.00 each evening. Access is completely free.

This event brings together half the world in a single street and allows us to move from one country to another in a few steps.

A total of 19 countries will participate this year. Uruguay and Morocco will not be present at this edition. However, France, Ecuador, and the Netherlands are returning after their absence in 2024. Also participating are Germany, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, the United States, England, Italy, Madagascar, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, and Venezuela. The organizers have invited the ambassadors and consuls of this year’s featured nations to experience firsthand the inclusive spirit of this event.

The events start at 6:00 PM on Avenida Augusta , and, as always, admission is free, allowing everyone to experience this unique round-the-world tour without leaving the city. The programme of performances begins each day at 8:00 PM and will include a varied selection of folklore, dance, and music.

There will be performances of all kinds: Kris Rocha and Perla Gomes will bring Brazilian music and dance with the show Curimbó , the students of the Star Studios School of Performing Arts, the group DC3 Rock and Blues Band, the folkloric performance Raíces de Argentina, New Blanca Band, Tablao Flamenco and La Banda de la Abuela.
