This week, the Spanish authorities have decided to permit entry for unvaccinated travellers from third countries if they test negative.
On May 21, 2022, Spain lifted the entry ban on unvaccinated tourists from third countries, finally permitting them to enter the country after more than two years. Brits and other travellers from countries outside the EU can now enter Spain for non-essential purposes if they can present a certificate of vaccination, or proof of recovery from the virus, or negative COVID-19 test results.
The test can be either a PCR one carried out within 72 hours before departure or an antigen test taken within 24 hours before you’re off for Spain. Under 12s don’t have to present a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate. However, those 12 and over must follow the same rules as adults.
