Javea returns to the BIG Screen

by Loraine Gostling

Javea returns to the big screen!

Beginning next week is the filming of an American movie that will take place in the Javea coves and coast, among them, Granadella.

During the past weekend, the teams in charge of the locations have landed in the fishing port, in Aduanas del Mar, and have defined the areas that will be used for filming. The signage, fences and seals are placed right at the access to the docking area for fishing boats and the breakwater promenade with the aim of restricting access to the site and being able to work in peace.

From there, the boats hired by the production company will depart in order to install the necessary equipment for filming in the different locations, such as La Granadella cove.

The Spanish production company has been in charge of the contracts with the fishing companies and the people of Javea, especially the port, who wanted to work on this new shoot. In fact, the hired staff have signed a confidentiality contract so that nothing about the film transpires, no name, no actors, or specific locations. Although it is known that they will be shooting for at least a week on the coast.

Including this film, almost 20 have already been shot in our town. Take a look at the article below, which features many of the movies filmed in and near Javea in the past.
