In the early hours of Saturday morning, at around 00:10 a.m., a loud explosion was heard in the vicinity of Arenal, according to sources from the Local Police and members of the Javea Connect group.
The incident took place on a low wall located on a plot previously used as a parking lot, located in front of the Arenal Auxiliary Clinic, at the intersection of Avda.Paris and C/San Rafael.
The explosion, whose origin is still unknown, caused significant damage, breaking several blocks and affecting different spaces in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of this event.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the causes of the explosion.
