Well, we did, indeed, have a ball !

HEAR YE HEAR YE. OFFICIAL RESULTS OF THE CHARITY BALL…

The tickets were gathered and duly given to our glamorous adjudicator, Nicola Franklin to count, double count and treble check.. ( In Eurovision voice)…..Here is the final result:-

1. 32 VOTES Apac Rescue Horses

2. 28 VOTES PREVENTORIO GANDIA

There were, of course, other votes “in the pot” for Apasa, The Red Cross, Catland, Caritas, Emaus, Akira, Tanamera, Guardian Angels, Scan, Help of Denia and Javea Feral Cats but just not quite enough this time round. 🙁

So after consulting my other trusty team members, this is what has now been delivered to the lucky winners later this week:-

€1000.00 to APAC

€ 700.00 to Bay Radio for The Gandia Preventorio

€113.00 will be spent on toiletries and necessities for Make A Smile and the Franciscan Men’s Home

A number of guests also brought toys along, so as The Preventorio has the financial benefit we thought it would be a nice gesture to give then to Todos Juntos Jávea.

Finally, with the recent news from Linda Ferguson, we had a little “whip round” for the Red Cross and we have a little over €50.00 for them also.

There are many people I would like to thank, including all you great Connectors who took the time to go get tickets and outfits and turn up for the masked mayhem. Clare Amin at SeeMontgo who saved the day for us when the previous venue had to cancel. Christophe Putters who was there all night filming the mayhem, my super admin buddies,GwendaHannah and Kenn who were with me every step of the way. But most of all, I would like to thank three amazing entertainers, Adam Daniels MusicIan Hunt and Gary Miller who gave up a Friday night ( probably at the expense of a paying gigs) to come entertain us, absolutely free of charge, meaning that more money went in to the charity coffers.

Oh.. and I musn;t forget to must mention our little star Lucas, who well upstaged Ian! 😉 His mum, the JC Website guru, Kate Langshaw must be so proud of him !👏👏

The next JC Bash will probably be a Barn Dance – my feet can’t cope with heels and I really missed my jeans and boots… I am just not a natural blinger 😉

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME

Loraine xx
