In the coming days we are expecting an Isolated Atmospheric Depression at high levels, as warned by the Comunitat Valenciana. At the moment, in our region, Aemet has activated an amber alert for heavy rains on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September.
Some helpful tips, should this heavy rain materialise and follow with flooding:-
– Avoid using the car if possible
– If you must drive, use main roads
– Do not cross river crossings or ravines, especially if water has started to accumulate.
– Do not park in flood zones
-If you do not have enough visibility while driving, move to the shoulder and stay in your vehicle.
– Keep yourself informed by OFFICIAL weather forecasting channels.
– Do NOT spread hoaxes/rumours about cancellations or damages caused by the rains.
