Montgó Natural Park has organised two free activities to discover the natural and cultural treasures hidden in this unique protected area of the Marina Alta.
The excursions, scheduled for the 24th and 31st of May, invite people to immerse themselves in the biodiversity of Montgó and its traditional agricultural environment, through two low-difficulty and scenic routes.
The first route, from the foot of the Montgó, will take place on Saturday 24th May. The meeting and departure point will be at 9:30 am from the Dénia Shooting Range. The route will cross the Plana de Justa, at the foot of the Montgo Massif.
For approximately three hours, participants will walk along a simple forest track that will include a detour to the Cova del Gamell, in order to add a touch of adventure to the route.
A week later, on Saturday 31st May, they will meet at the Riurau de Jesús Pobre at 9 a.m. From there, the walk will begin through the agricultural area of Els Bisserots, a territory that still preserves the typical agro-ecological spirit.
This second excursion, also lasting about three hours, will highlight the fundamental role played by traditional agriculture in the configuration of the landscape and in the coexistence between humans and nature.
Both activities are free of charge. To participate, it is necessary to register in advance by calling 679 196 461 or messaging [email protected].
