The annual fund-raising golf day in aid of our local volunteer firefighters

We are all only too aware of the number of fires that occur in the area every year. But what we often don’t realise is that the closest Bomberos station to Javea is in Denia which is over 30 minutes away. This means that we all rely on our dedicated, brave Local Volunteer Fire Fighters as our first line of defence. They are often the first on the scene of a fire, they stay to assist the Bomberos when they arrive and often stay to damp down the hot spots long after the fire is out, sometimes all through the night.

The volunteers receive no government funding, they receive a significant donation from the local council amounting to approximately 20% of the annual costs and therefore exist only as a result of donations and charitable help.

Javea Golf Club held the first fund raising day last year and raised over €13,000 for the fire fighters, which was largely spent on vital personal safety equipment. We will be holding the second event on Tuesday the 9th of September 2025.

We are looking to you, local companies and individuals to support the day. This important and exciting event will include golf followed by a dinner in the evening with live music, presentations and an auction.

We would be extremely grateful if you could support us and the fire fighters by sponsoring a hole, entering a team of golfers or in other ways, such as providing items which could be auctioned or prizes for our raffle.

You may wish to consider one or more of the following:-

1. There are two options to sponsor holes. JAVEA GC is a 9 hole course; to allow rounds of 18 holes, some tees are used twice in a round, other holes have 2 distinct tees.

• On holes that share a Tee, €500 as you get ‘double exposure’ to players on their front and back 9. This is on holes 1(and 10), 2(and 11), 4(and 13), 8(and 17) and 9(and 18)
• On holes where the two tees are separated, €300 per tee (or €500 for both tees), so this is holes 3, 5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 15 and 16
• You are encouraged to use your company advertising on the tee and, if you wish, have representative(s) of your organisation on the tee to interact with players.

2. Enter a team of four to play, €350 – this allows for four players to enter the event and play a round of golf at Javea as well as attending the dinner afterwards. All players must have a valid handicap. (max. Playing handicap: 28 for men and 36 for women).

3. Donate an item as a spot prize for the golf, to auction or a prize to raffle.

All companies sponsoring the event will receive two invitations for the evening dinner and will be listed in the event programme.

Javea Amateur Golf Society y el Club de Golf de Javea están encantados de acoger por segundo año consecutivo una jornada de golf para recaudar fondos para nuestros Voluntarios locales.

Todos somos conscientes del número de incendios que se producen en la zona cada año. Pero de lo que a menudo no nos damos cuenta es que la estación de Bomberos más cercana a Jávea se encuentra en Denia, que está a más de 30 minutos de distancia. Esto significa que todos dependemos de nuestros valientes y dedicados Voluntarios

Locales como primera línea de defensa. A menudo son los primeros en la escena de un incendio, ayudan a los Bomberos cuando llegan y, a menudo se quedan para amortiguar los puntos calientes mucho después de que el fuego se haya apagado, a veces durante toda la noche. Los Voluntarios no reciben financiación gubernamental, reciben una importante donación del ayuntamiento que asciende aproximadamente al 20% de los costes anuales y, por lo tanto, sólo existen gracias a las donaciones y a la ayuda caritativa.

El Club de Golf de Jávea celebró el primer día de recaudación de fondos el año pasado recaudando más de 13.000 euros para los Voluntarios, que se invirtieron en gran parte en equipos de seguridad personal vitales. El segundo evento tendrá lugar este año el martes 9 de septiembre de 2025. Esperamos contar con su apoyo, tanto si es una empresa local o un particular. Este importante y emocionante evento incluirá una jornada de golf seguida de una cena con música en directo, presentaciones y un sorteo de regalos.

Le estaríamos muy agradecidos si pudiera apoyar esta iniciativa patrocinando un hoyo, inscribiendo a un equipo de cuatro jugadores o de otras formas, como proporcionando premios y/o regalos para la subasta.

Puede considerar una o más de las siguientes posibilidades:

1. Hay dos opciones para patrocinar un hoyo. El Club de Golf JAVEA es un campo de 9 hoyos; para permitir vueltas de 18 hoyos, algunas barras de salida (tees) se utilizan dos veces y otros hoyos tienen 2 barras de salida diferenciadas.

• En los hoyos que comparten tee, 500 euros, ya que se obtiene una «doble exposición» en los jugadores, en sus primeros 9 hoyos y en los segundos. Estos serían los hoyos 1(y 10), 2(y 11), 4(y 13), 8(y 17) y 9(y 18)
• En los hoyos en los que los dos tees están separados, 300 euros por tee (o 500 euros por ambos tees), es decir, en los hoyos 3, 5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 15 y 16.
• Le animamos a utilizar material publicitario de su empresa en el tee y, si lo desea, tener algún(os) representante(s) de su organización en el tee para interactuar con los jugadores.

2. Inscribir un equipo de cuatro personas para jugar, 350 euros – esto permite que cuatro jugadores

participen en el evento y jueguen una partida de golf en Javea, además de asistir a la cena posterior.

Todos los jugadores deben tener un handicap válido. (Hcp max. de la prueba 28 para caballeros y 36 para damas)

3. Donar artículos como premios para el torneo, para la subasta o la rifa.

Todas las empresas que patrocinen el acto recibirán dos invitaciones para la cena y figurarán en el programa del acto.
