Local “Heartist” Starts Charity Cycle

by Loraine Gostling

A race on the 13th May in Pedreguer was reported by many as being an incredibly emotional event, with some 1500 runners all wearing black ribbons as a mark of respect to the 3 cyclists who were recently taken from us in a tragic accident on Mothers Day. Local artist, Sarah Beattie, )who is a friend of one of the cyclists badly injured, Scott Gordon and his wife Corinne) wished to do something to help raise money for the families of all the victims. She has painted this poignant picture and is now arranging for prints to be produced and sold to anyone who wishes to join her support.

The prints will be available soon at several outlets and we will publish details as soon as we have a list of outlet.  We think you will agree that this is a super way to help these families in what must be the saddest and most traumatic period of their lives.
