New Year and the Three Kings in Javea

New Year and Three Kings Programme for the young and young at heart

Javea town council have prepared a wide-ranging programme for this Christmas season.

The programme includes the visit of Father Christmas to the three centres, the Emissaries and the Three Kings as well as the Nadal Jove i Esportiu, the San Silvestre Perrestre on 31 December and the New Year’s Day solidarity swim on the Arenal beach.

Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar will not miss their appointment with the little ones with the parade that will start in the port of Xàbia from 17:00 hours on January 5th.

The Highlights :-

Sunday 31 December: San Silvestre Perrestre and Bell Ringing at 12.00 noon in Xàbia Histórica.
1st January: Solidarity New Year’s swim on the Arenal beach.
Tuesday 2nd January: The royal emissaries arrive at Duanes de la Mar, starting at 17.00 hours
Tuesday 3rd and 4th January: Royal encampment at Riurau d’Arnauda from 16.00 to 20.00 hours.

Friday 5th January: Three Kings’ Parade

Saturday 30th December

 From 11:00 to 13:30 h. Children’s workshops at the Xàbia Port toy library, located in the marquee on theport promenade.
 From 11:30 to 13:30 h. Face-painting and balloon artists for children, in the area set up at the Xàbia Port Christmas Fair located in Parking VIII (Sur Grande).


Sunday 31st December

 At 10:00 h. The San Silvestre Perruna will start, through the streets of Xàbia Histórica. Registration at www.somesport.com

 From 11:00 h. to 15:00 h. Christmas Craft Market. Xàbia Port promenade
 At 12:00 h. BREAKFAST, Yes. At 12:00 noon, we bring in the chimes so that you can enjoy the new year twice. Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere with music in the Plaza de La Iglesia.

New Year Charity Swim, organised by Chris and Steve at the Lancashire Bruja.

You’d better start dusting off them wacky costumes & getting into that sea now so you’re ready for the New Year’s Day Charity Swim on Monday 1st of January at 13:00pm sharp (Listen out for the horn)

All “Sponsored Bar Swimmers” tend to meet up at the bar for a quick drink for dutch courage & then we start walking down towards the Xmas Tree on the beach around 12ish

The Bruja team will be walking up and down the beach collecting any loose change you would wish to donate to the 2 charities chosen this year: the Red Cross of Javea and the Autism School of Javea

 From 10:00 to 14:00 h. Children’s workshops on Paseo Jaume I, with wooden games, Christmas card workshops, wooden ball workshops, Scape Boc and storytelling by Nadal Factory from 12 noon onwards.
 From 11:00 to 13:00 h. Creative workshops for children in the Xàbia play area. Xàbia Cultural Centre. Plaza de Baix
From 17:00 h. The Royal Blue, Red and Green King’s Emissaries return to Aduanas del Mar! They will walk through the streets of the neighbourhood announcing their arrival and they will go to the church of Our Lady of Loreto church to collect the letters full of wishes from young and old alike. The Comissió de Festes Mare de Déu de Loreto will be offering a
chocolates to sweeten the afternoon.


Wednesday 3rd January 2024


 From 11:00 to 13:00 h. Creative workshops for children in the Xàbia play area. Casa de Cultura de Xàbia. Plaza de Baix
 From 11:00 to 13:30 h. Children’s workshops at the Xàbia Port toy library, located in the marquee on tge port promidade
 From 11:30 to 13:30 h. Face-painting and balloon artists for children, in the area set up at the Xàbia Port Christmas Fair, located at Parking VIII (Sur Grande).
 From 16:00 to 21:00 h. Royal camp and reception of letters for the Three Wise Men. At the emissaries of the Three Wise Men will collect the letters with the wishes of all the children. There will also be workshops for the little ones, a children’s show with dance and theatre performances.There will be a bar service for families to have a snack at Riurau d’Arnauda.
 From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Laser Tag. for 12 to 18 year olds at PLAY JOVE, Plaza Constitución. Constitución.

Removal of the royal letterboxes in Xàbia Histórica, Xàbia Port and Xàbia Arenal.

 From 11:00 to 13:00 h. Creative workshops for children in the Xàbia Histórica play area. Plaza de Baix
 From 11:00 to 13:30 h. Children’s workshops at the Xàbia Port toy library, located in the marquee on the port promenade.
 From 11:30 to 13:30 h. Face-painting and balloon artists for children, in the area set up at the Xàbia Port Christmas Fair, located in Parking VIII (Sur Grande).
 From 16:00 to 21:00 h. Royal camp and reception of letters for the Three Wise Men. At the emissaries of the Three Wise Men will collect the letters with the wishes of all the children. There will also be workshops for the little ones and a performance by the Ballet En Danza. There will be a bar service for families to have a snack at Riurau d’Arnauda.


Friday 5 January 2024

 From 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. In Xabia Port, the youngest members of the family will be able to wait for the Three Wise Men with children’s activities and a children’s storyteller, who will liven up the long wait in the marquee on the seafront promenade of Xàbia Port. And the raffle for the 1.500,00 € Xàbia Port shopping prizes will take place.

At 17:00h. The Kings will arrive at the PORT OF XÀBIA by boat. There we will be able to welcome them because we are sure that, when they arrive, they will be very happy to see all the children. After disembarking, the procession will start, which will go through the streets of Aduanas and will end in Avenida Jaime I, where the Kings welcome all the children in attendance.
Afterwards, the parade will continue along C/Juan Carlos I street, Avda.Alicante, Ronda Norte and Príncipe de Asturias until it reaches the Placeta del Convent, where the Kings will share moments with the children.

Saturday 6th January 2024 ( National Holiday)


 At 17:30 h. Epiphany Concert by Marinae Ensemble, in the Church of San Bartolomé.
