Javea Help Desk – helping residents in six languages

by JC Admin

For over ten years, Javea’s Help Desk has been helping foreign residents carry out administrative procedures in their native language.

Driven by the Attention to Foreign Residents council, admirably led led by Doris Courcelles, support for people who struggle to understand the 2 official languages in this part of Spain is always at hand.

The Help Desk covers six languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Valenciano and Spanish.

Some of the most common tasks are the preparation of certificates requests, padron renewals etc. In the case of European foreigners, the padron must be renewed every five years and in that of non-European foreigners – including the English (since Brexit), they must be renewed every two years.

The Help Desk also promotes Spanish courses to help people integrate here. The programme is located at the Office of Citizen Attention of Xàbia (OAC). You can call them on 965 790 500 ext.3609 or send an email to help@ajxabia. org with any questions or doubts.
