John (Donald Sutherland) is clueless but tenacious. She (Helen Mirren) is fragile but ingenious. Both form an elderly couple who have been together for more than fifty years. Fleeing the asphyxiating care of their doctors and children, they begin a trip to the United States together in their old motorhome. From Boston, Massachusetts, to Key West, Florida, the couple travels an America they do not recognize. In an act of rebellion, John and Mary embark on a journey that will make them share good and bad moments while returning their love and passion for life.
