The Festival of San Juan, specifically Les Fogueres de Sant Joan, started in Javea in 1949. The first festivities, called the “Festivities of Fogueres,” took place at that time.
The main events and celebrations of Les Fogueres de Sant Joan typically take place in the old town, particularly in the Plaza de la Constitución, and include parades in the port area and Arenal.

Friday June 6th: ‘Children’s Proclamation’
20.00 pm. Parade of the Youth Commission and Children’s Court of Honour from Plaça de l’Església to Plaça de la Constitución.
20.00 pm. Proclamation of the Youth Commission, Court of Honour, Ladies and Children’s Queen in the Plaça de la Constitución.
Saturday June 7th: ‘Proclamation of the Queen Mayor and Quintà 2025’
10.00 . XXVIII Fogueres School Chess Tournament for schoolchildren at the Casal de la Comissió de Fogueres at Plaça de la Constitución.
21.00 pm. 2025 Quinta parade ‘La Desmadrà’ from Church Square to Constitution Square.
22.00 pm Proclamation of the Court of Honour, Ladies, and Queen in the Plaça de la Constitución. This will be followed by a performance by the Óxido orchestra until 05:00 a.m.
Sunday June 8th
09.00. Open table tennis at the Palau d’esports, organized by the Xàbia Table Tennis Club.
11.00. Pilota Valenciana game in the Trinquet de Xàbia (separate program).
Thursday June 12th
10.00. Scaffolding will be set up in the Avenida Palmela parking lot until 18:00 p.m.
Friday, June 13th: ‘Proclamation Day’
14.00. Official opening of the ‘Penyes Santjoaneres’ farmhouses.
20.00. Parade of the Court of Honor, Ladies and Queens from Plaça Marina Alta to Plaça de l’Església.
21.00. Proclamation of the festivities by the Queens and municipal authorities.
22.00Cabasset Sopar to the Plaza de la Constitución for the clubs and people in general. The Comissió de Fogueres will offer drinks.
23.00 Panorama Orchestra performance in Constitution Square until 4:00 a.m.
00.00 The quintos, peñas and people in general, accompanied by the charanga, will sing to the images of San Juan.
Saturday 14th June: ‘Day of the Quintas’
08:00 Despertà, with rockets, through the streets of the Historical Centre by the 25th anniversary Quintà ‘L’última Fornà’.
10:00 Barbecue’ lunch offered by the Fogueres Commission in the bull ring.
11:30 Parade of Quintades from the Portal del Clot to the bullring, by the quintades ‘Tots per l’Aire’, ‘A Grapats’, ‘No m’aguante ni de peu’ and ‘l’Aldarullà’.
12:00 noon. Concentration of all the Quintadas in the bull area (Avenida Palmela), where popular games and water games will be played.
19:00 Monaco Party show combining orchestra with DJ and other surprises in the Plaza de la Constitución.
00:00 hours. Macrodisco SOS Animation in the Plaza de la Constitución until 05:00.
PLEASE NOTE THAN FROM 15TH TO 18TH JUNE INCLUSIVE – TRADITIONAL BULL EVENTS WILL BE STAGED. We do not promote the programme on Javea Connect ,but merely advise people who do not wish to attend such events, to stay away from Avda Palmela from 19.00 on those dates.
Sunday June 15th
18,00. The Santjoaneres Penyes and the Fogueres Commission meet in the Plaça de la Constitución to gather the Quintà 2025 ‘La Desmadrà’ and parade down to the bullring accompanied by the brass band.
22.00. Representation of the play ‘L’ÚLTIMA DE TXÉKHOV’ by the local group GARUM TEATRE under the direction of Imma Sancho in the Portal del Clot.
22.00 Paella competition at the bull arena on Avenida Palmela. The prize will be 100 euros. This will be followed by a performance by the Castelló band KASPAROV and DJ TONI BUP until 3:00 a.m.
Tuesday June 17th
22,00. Concert ‘Cançons de Festa’ by the Rondalla of the Grup Portitxol in the Portal del Clot.
00.00. ‘Fogueres Musicón’ disco at the bullring with DJ Alex Femenia until 03:00 a.m.
Wednesday June 18th
16.00. Pilota Tournament in Trinquet de Xàbia, organized by the penyes ‘El Pinyol’, ‘Agárrala Fort’ and ‘D’on no hi ha no se’n pot traure’. There will be bar service.
18.00. Release of carts and inflatable bulls children
21.00. Dinner in the Church Square.
22.00. Tribute to ABBA, musical performance with the group’s hits, in Plaça de l’Església.
23.00. A grand gymkhana for those over 18 at the bullring. This will be followed by a mobile disco called “FOGUERES MUSICÓN,” a special Spanish pop-rock event featuring the local band Batisjaus and DJ María la Gavi until 03:00 a.m.
Thursday June 19th
11.00 The Bonfire Cremà from the Santa María de Betania Day Centre to the Placeta del Convent, and the start of the parade of the Court of Honor, Ladies, and Queens to visit the decorated streets of the Historic Centre. During this parade, the Bonfire Cremà from the Hermanos Cholbi Asylum will take place.
19.00. Bingo in the Plaza de la Iglesia. There will be bar service.
22.00. Concert night in Constitution Square. Naina will perform first, followed by Figa Flawas, and the group Auxili will close out the evening. DJ music will follow until 03:00 a.m.
00.00 hours. Plantà de la Foguera Central in the Plaza de la Constitución and Foguera Infantil in the Portal del Clot with the collaboration of the Quintà 2025 ‘La Desmadrà’, penya ‘LA MELONA’ and the penya ‘TOT D’UN GLOP’.
Friday June 20th
11.00. Table football tournament at the Casal Foguerer organized by the Fogueres Commission and the ‘Quin Gatxull’ penya, with music by DJ Álvarez.
18.00m. A parade of festival-goers visits the Thiviers, Freginal, Port, and Arenal sectors, starting from the Portal del Clot.
18.00. CA L’AVI COMÈDIA. Joke contest with a prize for the winner and monologues by guest comedians at the casal de la penya ‘Ca l’Avi’, c/ Cervantes, 5.
22,00. Dance in C/ Nou, with the Grup de Danses Portitxol
Saturday, June 21st: ‘Day of the Offering’
10.00. A popular luncheon for all retirees at the Social Centre, hosted by the Fogueres Commission.
14.00 Giant paella for all the neighbors in Montaner Park.
19.00. Offering of flowers to Sant Joan in the Plaza de la Iglesia with the making of the tapestry by the ‘LA PATXORRA’ penya.
21.00. Serenade to the Queens and Presidents, by the Tuna de Xàbia from the Plaza de la Iglesia.
00 hours. ‘Corazón Oxidado’ concert, a tribute to Fito & Fitipaldis, with disco until 05:00 a.m.

11.00 Offering of ‘raïm i bacores’ to Sant Joan. During the parade the ‘INDULT DEL NINOT’ of the Central Foguera and the Children’s Foguera wiill take place.
18.00. A parade of brass bands organized by the “Tots Per Terra” group. (Separate program.)
19.00. Charangas meeting organized by the ‘Tots Per Terra’ group (separate program).
20.00. Children’s Fireworks Afternoon in Marina Alta Square, organized by the 30th Anniversary Cavalleria Quintà.
23.00. Traditional ‘NIT DELS FOCS DE SANT JOAN’, declared a festival of local tourist interest in the Valencian Community, Next, Cremà de la Foguera de Trastos vells al Raval de Baix, organized by the club ‘El GERROT’.

10.00. Mass for Saint John in the Xàtiva square in the Frechinal sector. At the end of the mass, chocolate with sweets will be offered to all attendees.
10.00. Parade gathering the Court of honour, ladies, presidents and queens.
12.00 Liturgical celebration in honour of Sant Joan in the Parish Church of Sant Bertomeu, with the participation of the ‘Grup Polifònic Ars Nova’ and the orchestra of the ‘Centre Artístic Musical de Xàbia’. At the end of the mass, spectacular Mascletà on the pl. of the Constitution. Next, Vi d’honor at the Riurau d’Arnauda offered by the Javea Town Hall.
18.00. 2025 Quintà ‘La Desmadrà’ rally in Constitution Square.
19.00. Quintà Parade 2025, music bands and brass bands from Plaza de la Constitución to Avenida del Plà.
19.00. Parade of Carriages. At the end, Cremà de la Foguera for children in the Plaza del Portal del Clot.
