“Xàbia Town Hall wishes to remind foreign residents who want to vote next year that they must register on the electoral census before January 30th 2019.
All foreign residents who want to participate in the upcoming municipal elections and the European Parliamentary Elections (on May 26th, 2019) and exercise their right to vote must be registered on the electoral census and that they must complete this process before January 30th, 2019.
In the municipal elections, in addition to Spanish nationals voting is permitted by citizens of the European Union, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Korea, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago, as long as they have expressed their wish to vote in the electoral census offices.
The Citizens Help Office wishes to draw attention to the foreign residents that the procedure is mandatory even for those who are registered on the Padron. If they have not registered before in the electoral census and, of course for those who are not even registered.
