A man suffered minor burns after a boat caught alight in a warehouse next to the Gata Road yesterday evening. It appears that the boat ignited initially inside the warehouse but it was
brought outside on a trailer by the injured worker, waiting for the emergency services to arrive. The smoke emanating from the boat could be seen from quite some distance away and was quickly reported.
Civil Protection, Fire Crew. Red Cross and Police all attended but as yet the cause of the fire is unknown.
