OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE TOWN HALL TODAY AT AROUND NOON

Javea city council has received a new analysis from the General Directorate of Water ordering the closure of the Arenal beach due to high levels of pollution. The City Council has ordered the Local Police and the Red Cross to proceed to close the building and raise the red flag.

Within the plan of measures put in place by local government after the last episode, throughout this week 5 daily analytics and monitoring with cameras of the rainwater network and sewerage in the area have been carried out. Some tasks have allowed a few lines of work to be narrowed and will be intensified this Friday to resolve these incidents as soon as possible.

The government team is very clear that the health of people is the first priority, also environmental protection and certainty for entrepreneurs and traders of Arenal and Javea, in the middle of this tourist season.
