A-Maze-Ing!

by Loraine Gostling

The Labyrinth of Casa Tápena, the place where wishes come true if you complete it.

The Maze of Casa Tápena hides a legend transformed into a curious challenge that puts visitors to the test. You must reach the centere of the labyrinth, touch the cedar tree with your eyes closed and make a wish.

Don’t cheat and don’t take a photo of the maze drawn on the entrance signage!…Do it without help and you’ll see how much fun it is!

The Mediterranean Gardens, in which the maze is located, is a leisure area where you can stroll or rest among native garden species, listening to the sound of the water.

A wetland, which takes advantage of the spring water to create a small natural pond in which to observe aquatic species. On the other side of the road, there lies a small forest of Aleppo pine, with monumental trees (centenarians), kermes oaks and a strawberry tree. The latter is one of the largest in the province.

Parking: with reserved parking spaces for the disabled.
Recreational area: equipped with all the necessary facilities: picnic tables, barbecues, fountains, children’s games, sinks and toilets (see schedule below).
Kiosk-bar: open all weekends and holidays.
Casa Tápena: Here there is a classroom and exhibition area for environmental education activities. Among them is a didactic bee hive, where you can see the work and life of these wonderful insects.
