The 47th edition of the Moors and Christians festival will be staged in Javea from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th July in the fishing port area.
PROGRAMME
SATURDAY 12th JULY
08:00 h. Opening and setting up of Casales Festeros.
13:00 h. Charanga and parade by the Filà Trabuquers through the streets of Duanes de la Mar.
20:00 h. Parade through the streets of Duanes to pick up the representatives of the filaes at the Kábilas
20:30 h. Wine of honour offered by the Filà Capitana PIRATES DE SANT JAUME in C/Manuel Bordes Valls.
21:00 h. Parade through the streets of Duanes with the representatives taking part in the Presentation.
21:20 h. On arrival at Avda. Jaime I, therw will be fireworks and official lighting of the festive lights.
21:30 h. Presentation of the Fiestas de Moros y Cristians 2025 at Avda. Lepanto. The municipal and festive authorities will be in attendance, with Mr. Amadeu Ros acting as town crier.
23:30 h. Prerformance by the NO COMENT Orchestra until 04:00 h with bar service.
SUNDAY 13th JULY
13:00 h. Charanga and parade by the Filà Schaitans through the streets of Duanes de la Mar.
20:30 h. XX Concert of Festera Music in Avda. Lepanto by the Band of the Centre ArtÃstic Musical de XÃ bia. The concert will be conducted by its director Gonzalo de la GuÃa. (separate programme)
MONDAY 14th JULY
21,00 h. Visit to the Arenal Beach. Walking along the Paseo del Tenista David Ferrer.
After the event, there will be a fireworks display and refreshments will be offered to all the members of the participating Filaes courtesy of the Posidonia and Náutica Canal de la Fontana restaurants.
TUESDAY 15TH JULY
20:00 h Visit to the Historic Centre of Jávea along the streets PrÃncipe de Asturias, Placeta del Convent, Virgen del Merced, El Foguerer and ending at carrer del Ravalet, (San Jaume) where the Offering of Flowers will take place in the niche of the patron saint, Sant Jaume.
Thereafter, a pyrotechnic bouquet will be fired.
WEDNESDAY 16TH JULY
18:30 h. Festive Alardo. ArcabucerÃa firing in Avda. Jaime I.
20:15 h. Offering of flowers to Sant Jaume from the Arcada Pio X and along the following streets:-
Cristo del Mar, Andrés Lambert, Avda. Jaime I, Plaza Presidente Adolfo Suárez, Caleta, Churruca and ending at the Parish Church of Our Lady of Loreto. At the same event, a donation of food will be made to Cáritas.
22:30 h. Paella Competition between Filaes in Avda. Jaime I. The products will be supplied by Supermercado Suma. There will be prizes for the three best paellas.
The event will be accompanied by a brass band until 23:30 h. From that time onwards, there will be a disco until 03:00 with a bar service.
THURSDAY 17TH JULY
12:00 h. Charanga by Filà Almoriscos and Filà Contrabandistes de Xà bia through the streets of Duanes de la Mar. 21:00 h. Gathering on the Playa de la Grava beach of the Bando Cristiano (Christian side) waiting for the
Disembarkation of the Moorish side.
21:30 h. Disembarkation of the Moorish side. Re-enactment of the arrival of the Muslim troops with the firing of arquebuses. The LEGEND specialists will perform. In collaboration with the Associació de Barques Tradicionals de Xà bia.
22:00 h. Moorish Embassy and Surrender of the Castle in Paseo Jaime I. At the end, entrance of the two sides by Jaime I.
00:00 h. Night of Charangas by the Junta de Festes Moros i Cristians touring the different barracks and Kábilas together with the members of the Filaes and the general public until 03:00 h.
FRIDAY 18TH JULY
11:00 h. Charangas by the Filaes Almoradins and Almoriscos through the streets of Duanes de la Mar.
17:00 h. XXV Pepe Prats Valencian Pilota Trophy between filaes in c/Virgen de Loreto.
21:00 h. Battle with arquebusiers between the Moorish and Christian sides on Grava Beach.
21:30 h. Embassy and Reconquest of the Castle by the Christian side in Paseo Jaime I.
The specialists LEGEND will perform. At the end, entree of both sides on the Paseo Jaime I.
00:00 h. Bit Sound disco in Manuel Bordes Valls street offered by the Filà Capitana.
PIRATES DE SANT JAUME until 04:00 h.
SATURDAY 19TH JULY
11:30 h. Charanga by the Filà Ballesters through the streets of Duanes de la Mar.
12:00 h. Parade in charge of the Filà Capitana PIRATES DE SANT JAUME, festive officials and the Moros i Cristians visiting the different Kábilas and barracks.
20:00 h. GALA PARADE of the Moorish and Christian sides and the opening of each one with their standard bearers. The parade will be closed by the Filà Capitana PIRATES DE SANT JAUME.
23:30 h. Macro Discomóvil in the Paseo Pintor JoaquÃn Sorolla with “Crazy”
Dreams until 04:00 h. There will be a bar service at popular prices.
SUNDAY 20TH JULY
10:00 h. Children’s Aquajocs in Paseo Jaime I.
10:30 h. Distribution of ice-cream offered by the Moorish and Christian Standard Bearers in the Paseo Jaime I.
11:00 h. Charanga (brass band) by the Filà Contrabandistes through the streets of Duanes de la Mar.
18:00 h. Entrance of Bands of Music. Afterwards, in Paseo Jaime I, musical bands performing together in pasodoble Xà bia and conducted by the Agrupación Centre Artistic de Xà bia and conducted by Gonzalo de la GuÃa.
19:00 h. GALA PARADE of the Moorish and Christian sides and opening each one with their standard-bearers. The parade will be closed by the Filà Capitana PIRATES DE SANT JAUME.
At the end of the Parade, a night-time mascletà will be fired from the Grava Beach.
FRIDAY 25TH JULY
19:30 h. Concentration at the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de Loreto.
20:00 h. Celebration of a Solemn Mass in honour of Sant Jaume and in memory of the deceased festeros and festerteras.
***Discomóviles and charangas will end at 04:00 h.
