The Department of Beaches, has installed panels that report, practically live, on the number of parking spaces left on C/Pic Tort Street (Cala Granadella) and in La Barraca (Cala Portitxol).
The panels are located on the Portitxol road with Camí Cabanes (Consum roundabout) and at the detour to the street La Barraca from the Portitxol road.
As the councilor explained, “this system tries to prevent bathers from reaching the point where the access control barrier is located and having to turn around when the parking area is full.” They hope that by receiving prior notificationabout the parking situation, they can choose to go to another beach and avoid traffic jams”
The council has agreed with the active tourism companies on access to the Granadella cove on certain hours, so that everyone can work and is compatible with the measures to avoid overcrowding of the cove.
