Javea Easter Fair programme.

These events will be held in the historic centre from Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April.

The fair will be set up between the Placeta del Convent, the Calle Mayor and the Plaza de Baix, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, with 80 craft stalls and a local products market with 10 stalls on on Saturday 30 March.

There will also be activities such as workshops on making candles from beeswax and making board games made of clay, plus painting pottery. There will also be children’s entertainment and a display of dances and songs from the Marina by the Grup de Danses Portitxol de Xàbia, and, finally, more dancing with La Marina Lindy Hop.

There will be a meeting of clubs and associations in the church square during the morning and in the afternoon there will be a “tardeo” organised by the Comissió de Fogueres in the Plaza de la Constitución with bar and bar service, and music, until 00.00 hours.

PROGRAMME CRAFTS FAIR 2024

Friday 29th March

At 08:30 approx. 8:30 a.m. Traditional chocolate and cake for those taking part in the viacrucis in the Xàbia Municipal Market. In collaboration with Xàbia Town Hall.
12:00 h. Inauguration of the Fair, enlivened by the Colla Xirimitab’s.
12:30 h. Concert “La Joia Més Preada”, a story by Pepa Guardiola, by Xirimitab’s – Plaza de la Iglesia Church Square.
At 18:00 h. Small-format show called “Una de contes”, with stories and live music, a càrrec de Rodamons Teatre – Placeta del Convent.
From 18:00 h. Parade and dance with Ausaes Bugaes- Around the Fair.

Saturday 30th March

From 10:00 h until 20:00 h. Fireta of local agricultural products (fruit, vegetables, oil, wine, honey, jam,…) – Around the Church Square.
11:00 h. Demonstration of the elaboration of the palm tree – Space located in the Fireta of local agricultural products.11:30 h. Workshop on making candles from bird’s wax – Space located in the Fireta of local agricultural products.

12:00 h. Carrer amunt” for the Fair … a bit of music with your shopping. By Rodamons Teatre.
18:00 h. Poetry and song”. Show to close the festive weekend with Rodamons Teatre – Placeta del Convent.

Monday 1st April

11:00 h. Free workshops for children on “making board games made of clay” and “painting in tiles of famous painters” by Terrissería Inma Juan and Francis Benitez-Tambor de Luna. – Church Square.
12:00 h. Clandestino , social swing dance in the street, by the swing school, La Marina Lindy Hop – Placeta del Convent.
