The June Riurau Market Moves to Evening Hours 

This Saturday, 27 June, the Mercat del Riurau returns with a special summer edition, switching to its evening schedule. The market will be held from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the Riurau d’Arnauda, (Carrer Federico Garcia Lorca 13, Javea) offering visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy local products, crafts and entertainment during the cooler evening hours.

This month’s event will feature around 60 stalls showcasing local produce, artisan foods, handmade crafts and products from across the Marina Alta and Alicante province. Visitors will also find a variety of food and drink options throughout the evening.

As part of this special edition, there will be a full programme of activities for all ages, including:

• Live music throughout the evening.
• Children’s entertainment and workshops.
• Craft demonstrations highlighting traditional skills.
• Activities designed to promote local culture, sustainability and community life.

The market forms part of the new Mercats del Riurau d’Arnauda initiative. During the summer months (June to September), both the Saturday Mercat d’Origen and the Sunday Antiques & Vintage Market are held in the evening, from 7:00pm until 11:00pm.

At 21:00 p.m. – an equestrian show with ‘Doma en el aire’ (Dressage in the Air), organised by the Casa de Andalucía in Xàbia. This exhibition combines classical dressage and flamenco dance to offer a spectacle full of elegance, power, and emotion.

The evening will continue with a live performance by the group Verea Flamenca, which will provide the musical finale to an edition designed to enjoy the summer in a family and festive atmosphere.
