The Season of Goodwill – and Covid Passes

The President of the Valencia region yesterday released more details of the latest measures due to start in our region.

This was announced this Thursday by the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig , after the meeting of the Interdepartmental Table that has approved the proposal that will now be submitted to the Superior Court of Justice for its endorsement.

If approved by the courts The measures are planned to start on December 3rd,just before the fiestas on December 6th (Day of the Constitution).

The new plans will involve showing ID plus proof of a full course of vaccination to enter certain indoor spaces with capacities of 50 people or more. Bars, restaurants, casinos and disco type premises are included, plus visitors to hospitals and care homes.

It will also be requested in celebrations, gambling establishments such as Bingo Halls and Casinos with catering services or in concerts and music festivals, both outdoors and indoors,  

However, theatres and cinemas where masks are worn are not included.

Alternatives for those who have chosen not to be vaccinated, (Or cant for verified medical reasons) are available. These are proof of a PCR test up to 72 hours before the moment, or an antigen test 48 hours before.

Ximo Puig added that the rate of vaccination among residents of the region (aged 12 years upwards is currently at 92.6%.

To obtain your covid passport in the Valencian Community you must access the page enabled by the Generalitat HERE… and follow these steps:

1 – Enter the required data (SIP card number, Date of Birth and Issuance Date of the SIP Card), enter the code shown on the screen and after validating, verify the last 3 digits of the mobile phone.

2 – If it is correct, click on the ‘send SMS’ button and then you will receive on your mobile a code that you must add where indicated.
