Alcalali San Juan Festivals 2019 Programme

Alcalalí celebrates its patron saint festivities in honour of San Juan de Mosquera and the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud from June 21st to 26th

The organization of the Fiestas de San Juan is in charge of the Festival Commission 2019, whose members are involved throughout the year with the purpose of offering a full program of activities and events for all residents and visitors. From Alcalalí City Council, we would like to thank the Commission for its dedication and commitment.

FRIDAY, JUNE 21ST

13: 00h: General bell tolling to announce the start of the fiestas

21: 00h: Barbecue in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament (there will be snacks and sangria sponsored by the Chiringuito de Altea)

00: 00h: performance of DUO ÉLITE in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

SATURDAY, JUNE 22

14: 00h: Paella Gigante in Carrer Nou accompanied by music

19: 00h: Costume parade accompanied by the Batucada COLP I REPIC of Xaló

00: 00h: Verbena by the orchestra LIMIT on the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

SUNDAY, JUNE 23TH DAY OF THE “ENTRADETA DE SANT JOANET DE MOSQUERA” DAY OF THE GIRLS AND CHILDREN

11: 30h: Performance of Sevillanas in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

12: 30h: Foam Festival in Carrer Porxe

18: 00h: Departure of “Pilota Valenciana” in Carrer Nou

21: 30h: Parade in charge of the Unió Musical «La Primitiva» of Castell de Castells

22: 00h: Collection of the festeros in the Civic Centre

22: 30h: «Entraeta» of Sant Joanet de Mosquera by Carrer Ravalet accompanied by the town of Alcalalí. To welcome him, fireworks will be fired by BORREDA pyrotechnics. Then, the girls and the children will make an offering of flowers to Sant Joanet de Mosquera

00: 00h: Verbena by the WONDER orchestra in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

MONDAY, JUNE 24 PARTY IN HONOR TO OUR PATRON SAN JOANET DE MOSQUERA

11: 00h: Parade and collection of the Festival Commission and the Illustrious City Council by the Unió Musical «La Primitiva» of Castell de Castells

12: 00h: Mass sung by the Choir of Alcalalí in honor of our patron saint Sant Joanet de Mosquera. When finished, the City Council has the honor of inviting all the people of Alcalalí to an aperitif

18: 00h: Performance of magic in the Carrer Porxe

21: 30h: Collection of the Festival Commission at the Civic Centre

22: 00h: Solemn procession in honor of Sant Joanet de Mosquera

00: 00h: Verbena by the PACÍFIC BLUE music group in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

TUESDAY, JUNE 25 PARTY IN HONOR TO SANTÍSSIM CRIST DE LA SALUT

11: 00h: Parade and collection of the Festival Commission, of the girls and boys with the blessed bread and of the Illustrious City Hall in charge of the Unió Musical «La Primitiva» of Castell de Castells

12: 00h: Blessing of the loaves and delivery of the medals to the Festival Commission. Then the Eucharist will be celebrated in honor of the Santísism Crist de la Salut, sung by the Choir of Alcalalí. At the end the blessed bread will be distributed throughout the town

21: 30h: Collection of the Festival Commission and the Illustrious City Hall at the Center Cívic

22: 00h: Solemn procession in honor of Santíssim Crist de la Salut. At the end there will be a “mascletà” night at the Avinguda Vall de Pop in charge of the BORREDA pyrotechnics

00: 00h: Variety show with the performance of singers, magic and lots of fun in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26TH DAY OF THE “COCÀ” DAY OF THE DECEASED

11: 00h: Water park and water games in Avinguda Vall de Pop

12: 00h: Mass in suffrage to all the deceased of the town

20: 00h: Great “COCÀ” in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament accompanied by wine from the CVVP of Xaló. The act will be enlivened by the LIMIT DUO

SUNDAY, JULY 14 TRANSFER OF SANT JOANET FROM MOSQUERA TO LA ERMITA

7:00 pm: Transfer of Sant Joanet de Mosquera to his hermitage, accompanied by “Dolçaina i Tabalet”. Then there will be a snack and the activity “A GREAT DAY” for the little ones subsidized by THE COUNCIL OF ALICANTE

  • There will be tables and chairs for the whole town
