On Saturday the 10th August 2019, the traditional Castell de l’Olla in Altea takes place. Organized every year until the last detail by the brotherhood of the same name of the Alicante town, this show brings together more than 50,000 people wanting to play ” the game of light gunpowder and music”, in a combination of arts in which also they participate in parallel, dance and other scenic arts, in addition to exhibitions.

With more than thirty years of history behind it, this musical pyrotechnic event has a huge reputation among residents and visitors of the Valencian Community.

The incorporation of dance to the show has increased the interesting aesthetic appeal artistic fireworks to the sounds of a musical score by the sea on an August summer night.

In recent years, the Castell de l’Olla has added new elements to its offer, such as a prominent tourist attraction that brings together numerous boats in the bay of Altea to admire this event that is part of the national pyrotechnic calendar.

 The importance of this already traditional event was recognized with the distinction of the Tourist Merit Award, in the gold category of the 1999 edition, which was awarded by the Provincial Tourism Board of the Costa Blanca and the Declaration by the Generalitat as a Fiesta of Regional Tourist Interest .
