DESCRIPTION:The Festival of San Juan, specifically Les Fogueres de Sant Joan, started in Javea in 1949. The first festivities, called the “Festivities of Fogueres,” took place at that time.\n\nThe main events and celebrations of Les Fogueres de Sant Joan typically take place in the old town in the middle 2 weeks of June, particularly in the Plaza de la Constitución, and include parades in the port area and Arenal.\nThis year, the main events run from June 12th to June 24th\nFRIDAY 12 JUNE – CHILDREN’S PROCLAMATION\n7:30 pm Parade of the Youth Committee and Children’s Court of Honour from Church Square to Constitution Square.\n8:00 pm Proclamation of the Youth Committee, Court of Honour, Ladies and Children’s Queen in Constitution Square.\nSATURDAY 13 JUNE – QUEEN’S PROCLAMATION\n10:00 am 29th Fogueres Chess Tournament for schoolchildren.\n9:30 pm Parade of the Quintà 2026 “A Trompicons”.\n10:00 pm Proclamation of the Court of Honour, Ladies and Queen.
