The annual International Festival takes place every year during the height of summer and is is definitely one that should not be missed.
An array of colourful tents fill the Avenida Augusta with international food and drink stalls from around the globe. Around 20 different countries are represented and it is impossible not to find something that suits your taste-buds during this gastronomical 3 days. The huge stage is always set for music, dancing and other acts to suit both children and adults alike.
This year the International event will take place on June 29th, 30th and July 1st. The location, as always, is on the Avenida Augusta in front of the La Mar institute. During the three days, the doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and, as always, admission is free so that everyone can soak up this particular tour of the world. without leaving the municipality.
A total of 19 countries will participate this year. Germany, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Holland, England, Italy, Madagascar, Morocco, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Switzerland, Uruguay and Venezuela; They will make their culture visible through the most typical gastronomy, exhibitions, music and dance.
The firefighters from Balcón al Mar and the Red Cross will also set up their typical stall. In the central area there will be a stage where different musical and folklore performances will be offered.
***The organisers are group of people of different nationalities who work throughout the year to offer a multinational and multicultural meeting place where they hope that “visitors feel represented and live unforgettable moments”
